Emily brings a diverse and rich background in mental health, paired with a strong dedication in empowering clients to reach their fullest potential. Emily provides specialized care to individuals and couples facing relational issues such as emotional and physical intimacy, infidelity, betrayal, and problematic sexual behaviors. Her passion lies in guiding others toward growth and meaningful change. Emily’s goal is to provide a space for her clients to feel seen and heard, to improve communication and empathy, and to empower them to define and achieve their preferred future.

Emily deeply understands the complexities of relationships and the unique challenges that couples face in building trust, connection, and understanding. She takes a collaborative approach to help couples strengthen their bond by fostering deeper intimacy and emotional connection. When conflict arises, Emily helps partners identify and transform unhelpful communication patterns, guiding them toward healthier and more meaningful ways to connect. She also provides specialized care for couples navigating the pain of infidelity or intimacy and sexual challenges, helping them heal and rebuild their relationship in a safe and supportive space. Emily integrates evidence-based tools like the Gottman Method and Emotion Focused Therapy into her work, tailoring her approach to each couple's needs. She knows how difficult it can be to take that first step toward therapy and honors the courage it takes to seek support and begin this journey together.

Infidelity often feels like grief because it involves a profound sense of betrayal and loss. The betrayal shatters trust and safety in the relationship while the loss can encompass emotional security, shared identity, and future hopes. Experiences like infidelity and other trust violations are often felt as relational traumas, stirring up deep emotions that can be challenging to navigate. Emily will guide you through the complex and often painful journey of healing from infidelity by providing a compassionate, non-judgmental space where emotions can be safely expressed and processed. She aims to help you rebuild the trust—either in your current relationship or within yourself—as you gain insights, reclaim personal agency, and rebuild hope.

Sexual challenges are a natural part of many relationships, yet they’re often difficult to talk about. Feelings of shame, embarrassment, guilt, or frustration can leave individuals and couples feeling stuck or disconnected. Whether you’re experiencing difficulties with sexual functioning, a loss of intimacy, self-esteem concerns, or navigating differences in cultural or religious beliefs, Emily can help you to uncover the root of the issue and guide you toward the fulfilling, connected sex life you desire. Emily supports couples in rebuilding intimacy, improving communication, and addressing sexual challenges with practical tools and strategies designed to create positive and lasting change. Emily fosters a warm, open, and nonjudgmental space where you can safely explore your desires, overcome challenges, and reconnect with one another.

As a marriage and family therapist, Emily's approach integrates a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive, behavioral, emotionally focused and solution-focused therapies, while also incorporating The Gottman Method, Emotion Focused Therapy, and mindfulness techniques. Emily enjoys concepts pulled from attachment theory; learning about your attachment style helps individuals identify, understand, and restructure their emotional responses to foster stronger connections. Emily creates a welcoming and inclusive space, embracing diversity and tailoring treatment to meet everyone’s unique needs.
